While you are contemplating on it, follow me as I tell you the story of this renowned young entrepreneur; whose life and passion has shown beyond doubt the true meaning of “hard work pays.”
Awa K. Ndukwe is one of the young persons who not only believes in hard work, but also believes that when the right system is followed and applied, the results come out better.
Awa K. Ndukwe is a brand strategist and a coach, who believes in Loyalty, Care, and Sincerity, which he has also used as a tool to position himself as a “go-to” in his field.
He is a Nigerian by birth, and graduated as Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Lagos in the year 2011.
He always loved colors, writing, fashion, and standing out in the crowd, and most especially business, which was why he started his first business in high school where he sold wrist watches, started his snail business, and owned a restaurant. His love for business also led him to dredging, haulage, transportation, and many more.
He didn’t just become a great brand strategist and a billion dollar mogul that he is today by luck, he had a series of challenges that pushed him back and forth; but like I said, hardwork and consistently applying the right principle is a pathway to success.
Awa at his young age lost his mum to Cancer as his father was already aged. He was left with the responsibility of taking care of his siblings and giving them a better life. As of the year 2014 when he started his snail business, he would always go out on the street at night to fetch snails that he would sell in local markets.
The risk of toiling in the night, snake bites, and sleepless nights caused by attacks from mosquitoes was making the business unbearable for him, but his family was fully dependent on him as any day he fails to pick those snails will leave everyone in the house hungry.
By 2015, his snail business grew and he began to supply fresh snails to restaurants, private homes, and neighborhoods. Just like in one of his contents as a content creator, he said
“It’s not going to be easy but our dreams and passion can become a great motivational force to drive us long lasting success.”
It didn’t take time into the year 2016 and he built his own snail farm which housed over 10,000 snails. It fetched the family more money and enabled him to cater for his siblings, gave them better education, and total well being.
Haven lifted part of the responsibility off his shoulder by making sure the rest of his siblings are doing well, he got married to the love of his life in the year 2023; with her, he has been able to raise a beautiful family. He cared more for family, so enjoyed seeing his siblings doing well for themselves.
Just like the quote by George Bernard “don’t wait for opportunities, create it.”
Awa learned and understood this principle, so didn’t sit at his comfort zone waiting for opportunities, he created one for himself which was why he delved into action with any opportunity he had to make a difference.
Remember that working hard is good, but applying the right principle is expedient. His passion towards creating a solution to problems has made him solve several business problems for brands, companies, and other businesses. Aside from his branding business, he has amongst them all other ventures, a clothing company, a restaurant chain, a sports management firm, two record labels, and the streaming service Tidal.
Awa is currently not only an entrepreneur, but a brand strategist coach whose entrepreneurial journey has influenced past and present leaders, personal and public brands.
Indeed, hardwork and consistency paid out in the life of Awa K. Ndukwe, which is a big lesson to every young person. Success doesn’t happen by luck, you work your way into it.
