EKI OGUNBOR – A FASHION INNOVATOR

In our society today, they say, people who are born with silver spoons, ends up being a torn in other peoples flesh, in the case of Eki, that is just a mirage. She has proven that irrespective of your background, you can decide to make an impact, but it all starts with the mindset. Being passionate and staying committed to your goals, takes a whole lot. Eki Ogunbor is an Entrepreneur, Fashion Designer, Fashion Writer, Blogger and Content creator. Having attended the University of Kent and obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance. She later on took fashion courses at Conde Nast College of fashion and design in London, and other globally recognized institutions, and also took part in a Project Management Master class from Jeman Consulting.

She has worked as a Lifestyle Editor at BellaNaija, for a space of 3 years and helped launched the BellaNaija style platform in 2017.She has also served at Xclamations as the head of design, and worked with amazing brands like; MAC Cosmetics, ATAFO, Andrea Iyamah, Martini, etc.[
In the year 2017, she launched a Nigerian fashion brand called ‘’KISARA’’. It specializes in handcrafted leather pieces with a stylist twist and that has contributed immensely to the African fashion industry. The brand rose to limelight during a Runway debut at Lagos fashion week.
With a flair for great styling, fashion photography and visual merchandising, she earned the position of an Executive Director of brands and Communication at NOSAK group, a Nigerian business group with multi-pronged interests in the economy. The Company made its announcement on the LinkedIn page, which reads ‘’we are thrilled to welcome Eki Ogunbor onboard as the new group Executive Director of Brands and communication at NOSAK group! Together, let’s redefine excellence and chart new horizons.’’In her new role, Eki will be in charge of directing all branding and communications projects and executions of the company across West Africa.

Eki is a renowned member of the Advisory Committee for the beauty in Lagos Awards, and also supports impactful non-profit groups such as; the candlelight Foundation, which runs a daily soup kitchen, and Women at Risk International Foundation (WARIF), which raises awareness and combats gender-based violence.
Eki has shown how hard work, consistency, and commitment drives the vehicle to success. She is an award winning writer, editor and content developer with more than a decade of expertise. She is a FASHION INNOVATOR.
