You will recall that in 2020 there was this video of a 4 years old boy telling his mummy to calm down, newsmen in Edo state reported that the woman refused to calm down as it was advised by his son… she went ahead to commit suicide in her home in Edo state last week while everybody was away.
Before the police in Edo state could even give an official report, a X user made it public through his social media handle.
With his X handle (formerly Twitter) Mr Samuel revealed on the 6th November, 2023 that Toluige committed suicide in her home in Benin City, Edo state, Nigeria.
Mr Samuel stated that “Mummy Calm Down Boy mother” ended her life without confiding in anyone about her struggles.
It was reported in PM News that, Spokesperson of the Edo State Police Command, Chidi Nwabuzor, revealed this while confirming that the deceased’s husband, a driver and car dealer has been arrested and detained by the police.
At the time of writing this report Mrs Toluige Olokoobi Babalola husband is still with the police and will be handed over to detectives for further investigation.
It was also reported in other news according to BBC NEWS Pidgin that the husband told the police that he came home from the market to meet his wife hanging with rope on her neck and he alerted the neighbours who followed him to the hospital where she was confirmed dead. Her remains were deposited in a mortuary
She left behind three kids and her husband who is still with the police.
If she had listened to her little sensational son who knows she may have still be alive. Her little boy must be a prophet.
