Mr Waya is a vibrant international entrepreneur who has ventured into a number of industries and countries, including real estate, transportation, industrial goods, hospitality, and agriculture. He also owns stock in a number of multinational corporations.
At GT Carbon, Mr Waya serves as the Executive Director. His extravagant way of living, which includes pricey cars and watches, as well as opulent homes, has also drawn notice. He is also referred to as Mr Money Bag and the Versace Lord.
Although Waya, a Nigerian billionaire and socialite, is well-known for hosting extravagant celebrations, he is also a workaholic.
In one of his many interviews with Romanian media personality Oana Irimia in May 2025, the well-known billionaire, who was born in Benue, disclosed his astounding net worth of roughly 2.2 billion dollars.
Terry Waya was born on May 3, 1961, in the Tiv homeland of Benue State, Nigeria, into the family of Mr and Mrs Waya. Before relocating to Abuja in the 1990s, he received his initial education at Kaduna Polytechnic. But many people won’t accept that Mr Waya was the driving force behind the development of Lagos, Nigeria’s well-known Banana Island.

In addition to being convicted of two financial crimes in England and facing a money laundering case in 2005, he also had a run-in with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), from which he was eventually released. He was successful in establishing himself and had a good relationship with the military during the Sani Abacha regime; Mr Waya’s name still rings a bell today.
Susan Waya and Terry Waya are currently married, and they have two boys together.
